Javier J. Rodriguez is an experienced trial lawyer with more than 90 trials and arbitrations to his name. • Kipu Systems – won a $19.5 million verdict in an intellectual property infringement case against a competitor in a three-week Federal jury trial
• Obtained a defense verdict for a community health center in a medical malpractice case which was televised on CourtTV
• Represented KLP Industries in a tender offer on 25-year operating contract for the Rubelsanto oil field in Guatemala
• Represented the minority member of an iconic Miami Beach resort hotel in a shareholder oppression case which was successfully settled for over $5.0 million on the eve of trial
• Sedano’s Supermarkets – Successfully represented supermarket chain in a non-jury trial involving construction claims in excess of $1.0 million for breach of contract, liquidated damages for delays and attorneys’ fees. Won the case on every issue presented to the court
• Represented the purchaser of a large electrical contractor in Delaware state courts in a $12 million dispute with the seller on post-closing accounting adjustments
• El Sembrador – Represented majority shareholder of food distribution company in shareholder dispute and subsequent sale of the company to a third party
